Roxbury Presbyterian Church Social Impact Center (RPCSIC) is a community-based organization rooted in trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and spiritually integrated healing practices. Our work centers emotional safety, dignity, and restoration for individuals and communities impacted by trauma.

The Opportunity
RPCSIC seeks an experienced Clinical Consultant to provide trauma-informed guidance, consultation, and oversight across our Community & Clinical Services (CCS) programming during a period of departmental transition.

This is a contracted consultant role for a licensed clinician who can support staff, strengthen trauma-informed practice, and help shape the future structure of CCS—without providing direct clinical treatment.

Time Commitment & Compensation

  • 12–17 hours per month (flexible, variable schedule)
  • Annual compensation cap: $25,000
  • Consultant role (non-employee); responsible for own taxes, insurance, and benefits
  • Attendance at a weekly Core Team Meeting is required

Key Areas of Engagement

  • Reflective Supervision & Coaching
    Monthly supervision for CCS staff; consultation on trauma-informed facilitation, boundaries, crisis response, and vicarious trauma
  • Program Observation & Feedback
    Observations and feedback across programs including Can We Talk® (CWT), youth and adult support groups, and arts-based healing initiatives
  • Trauma-Informed Protocols & Safeguards
    Development and refinement of emotional safety guidelines, crisis escalation pathways, and referral processes
  • Clinical Oversight Framework
    Design of a high-level clinical consultation model that maintains RPCSIC’s non-clinical service identity
  • Department Review & Leadership Development
    Support leadership in evaluating CCS structure and contributing to the development of the next CCS Director role
  • Training & Capacity Building
    Facilitation of 2–3 trauma-informed trainings annually

Qualifications

  • LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or equivalent clinical licensure (in good standing)
  • 5–7+ years of experience in trauma-informed, community-based mental health work
  • Experience supporting or supervising staff in trauma-exposed environments
  • Strong understanding of trauma, group dynamics, emotional safety, and crisis response
  • High emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and strong boundary management
